A. Requirements for a New Passport for a First-Time Applicant

• Two recent, color passport-size photographs;

• Any supporting documents showing Ethiopian citizenship (i.e. birth certificate, kebele ID, school certificates, etc.);

• An envelope with return address and sufficient prepaid postage (for those using mail service);

B. Requirements for Replacing an Expired Passport

• Two recent, color passport-size photographs;

• Present your existing passport;

• An envelope with return address and sufficient prepaid postage (for those using mail service)

C. Requirements for Replacing a Lost Passport

• Two recent, color passport-size photographs;

• Any supporting documents showing Ethiopian citizenship (i.e. birth certificate, kebele ID, school certificates, etc.);

• Present your current Passport;

• Service fee of $50.00 payable to the Embassy of Ethiopia in the form of a money order;
